About Boardflare

Boardflare builds tools for an increasingly common workflow: a technical analyst develops a model in Python, but the people who need to use it work in Excel.

Our flagship product, Python for Excel, helps people build interactive applications and custom functions that run directly in Excel. It connects workbook data to a reactive notebook, publishes calculated values and functions back into the worksheet, and provides separate Edit and Run experiences. The author works with code and dependencies; the workbook user works with assumptions, controls, tables, and results.

Our broader thesis is that important analytical models should be easier to operate, share, inspect, and maintain without forcing organizations to abandon the spreadsheet interface their teams already understand.

Boardflare also maintains focused Excel utilities for statistics, optimization, engineering, local text analysis, translation, fuzzy matching, and related tasks. These products support specific spreadsheet workflows and inform the development of the flagship Python product.
